About the Event
Join Seidr, a pagan staff and song oracular practice, and Betsy Bergstrom in a 5 hour introductory workshop. With a wooden staff or wand, a willingness to sing, and a spirit of adventure, embark on a journey with the goddess Freyja and the three Wyrd sisters, the Norns, exploring the historical and contemporary practice of Seidr. We will practice the role of the Seidr practitioner known as a Völva with solo Seidr, and Seidr in partnership. We will conclude with a ritual High Seat oracular Seidr ceremony.
Bring: a hood or eye covering and a wooden staff or wand. Staffs are most often 3-6 feet tall for indoor convenience.
Required: Shamanic Journeying skills or the equivalent are recommended.
